GDI has 3 Calgary area goaltenders selected in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft. Jake Morrissey Calgary Bantam AAA Royals) was selected by the Kelowna Rockets, 101st overall. The Brandon Wheat Kings used their 122nd pick to take Calgary Bantam AAA Bisons goaltender Logan Thompson. Riley Morris (Calgary Bantam AAA Bronks) was chosen 143rd overall by

AJHL Vice-President Ryan Bartoshyk presented the 2012 Playoff MVP Award to Brooks Bandits goaltender Jan Obernesser. Obernesser recorded a shutout in the championship victory in Game Six. He posted a 12-2 record, a league leading 2.16 GAA, and 2 shutouts in the 2012 AJHL Playoffs.

GDI is expanding their popular Early Morning Academy Program to Black Diamond for clients in the south of Calgary area and Okotoks. Sessions will be every Thursday from 7-8am September 20, 2012-March 28, 2013 at Black Diamond Arena. Program is available in affordable 8 month or 12 month payments. The Traveland RV Storm defeated the Delisle Chiefs 5-2 and won the Prairie Junior Hockey League’s best-of-seven championship series in five games. For his efforts goaltender Alex Sirard was named the Playoff MVP. They will now move on to compete in the Keystone Cup (Western Canada Championship). Full Story click here.

GDI has just revised and released it`s 3 Day Mini Camp to August 21-23, 2012 at Lake Bonavista Arena. The Camp will have specific on and off ice focus. On ice will target Rebound Control Methods, Net Play Tactics and Puckhandling. Each day will also have a On-Ice Movement/Conditioning Session as well Off-Ice Training. You

Hockey Alberta announced rosters for the Alberta Cup in Lethbridge, AB  April 26-29, 2012. Making their respective zone teams are GDI goaltenders: Zachary Klassen (Northeast), Jake Morrissey (Calgary South), Riley Morris (Calgary North) and Nicholas Patterson (Calgary North).
